The European Poker Tour (EPT) will soon arrive at London.  It runs from 29th Sept until 6th October 2011, and takes place at Hilton Metropole Hotel (with the occasional side event taking place at The Vic).  You can qualify or register to play via Pokerstars.

Phil Hellmuth had his third near miss in the 2011 WSOP series, once again coming in 2nd place, this time in the $50K Players Championship.

This is one bracelet that Phil really really wanted.   Emulating only one other (Scotty Nguyen) who has won both the 50K and the Main Event.

Sadly respite a huge chip advantage heads-up at one point the cards didnt fall for Hellmuth, and Brian Rast clawed his way back into the match and into victory.

The $1 tournaments take place every Sunday at 13:30 ET up until 26th June 2011.

721 players entered this year’s Aussie Millions main event.  It was shaping up to be a final table of legend with about 10 players left, with the likes of Randy “Nanonoko”Lew, Sorel Mizzi, Patrik Antonius and Chris “Moorman1″ Moorman all still fighting it out.  However after a series of bustouts it was left to the less well known players to play for the top spots.  David Gorr secured the title, a particularly great acheivement as he was playing in his home town of Melbourne.
